The Ekolu is a modern three-fin high-performance longboard shaped in-house by Kaeo “Eo” Skeel. Named after the Hawaiian word ʻekolu, meaning “three,” the model takes its name from the three-fin configuration at the heart of its performance.
The Ekolu combines classic longboard construction with a modern, performance-oriented shape. Its heavier glassing adds momentum and stability, producing a smoother, more settled feel while trimming and noseriding. Unlike a traditional log, however, the Ekolu is designed to remain fast, responsive, and maneuverable when the wave becomes steep or critical.
A medium rocker runs from nose to tail, balancing paddle power and glide with the curve needed to fit into more demanding sections. Upturned rails through the nose support controlled noseriding, while rounded performance rails generate speed and allow the board to transition smoothly from rail to rail.
The pintail provides hold and control through powerful turns and steeper wave faces. Paired with its three-fin setup, it gives the Ekolu the drive, predictability, and maneuverability expected from a modern high-performance longboard.
