The 6'6" Torq ACT BigBoy 23 in Blue Rails is a high-volume performance surfboard built for larger surfers, intermediates progressing beyond a funboard and longboarders who want to move down to a shorter, more responsive board.
Its wider nose, generous 43.5-liter volume and stable outline provide strong paddle power and help the board enter waves early. Although the dimensions resemble a compact funboard, the refined rails, performance rocker and squash tail give it the speed and responsiveness of a much smaller shortboard.
From the middle of the board, the BigBoy 23 feels stable and forgiving. Stepping back over the fins engages the performance tail, allowing stronger rail turns and more aggressive surfing. This combination makes it approachable for developing surfers while providing enough response for experienced riders to surf hard and fast.
Five Futures-compatible fin boxes allow the board to be ridden as either a thruster or quad. A thruster setup provides familiar control and predictable turning, while a quad configuration can create additional speed and drive through weaker or more open-faced waves.
Torq’s ACT Pre-Preg construction uses a high-density EPS core and precisely controlled epoxy-composite materials to achieve a strong, lightweight board with responsive flex and efficient energy return.
